Finding work with meaning

This is what sparks our imaginations. It’s what influences our creativity.

When I first picked up LEAN IN, I had just run into my first glass ceiling. I remember standing in the bookshop, deflated, disillusioned and de-energised. I had no idea what to do or how to navigate around it. Sheryl’s words literally jumped off the page, empowering me to think differently about ambition, life and family. Phebe Cho

Okay I confess, I have a huge crush on Brene Brown. Her message, backed by years of research (yes she speaks my language!), empowers us to be vulnerable. She challenges us to have the courage to be imperfect, to be compassionate and to accept others and ourselves for who we are. My love affair started with this TED talk. If you haven’t seen it yet, its honestly the best way to spend 20 minutes. Be inspired. Madeleine Ford

Growing up in an all girls school, there was an immense pressure to be picture perfect. I think this was one of the main reasons this POST resonated so deeply with me. Our society has become obsessed with being perfect and not focusing on our true talents and what we do best. I’m a huge fan of Jhene’s music, her songs speak so powerfully about self authenticity and spirituality. Michelle Lai
